Majority Of Italian Senate Support Iranian Grand Gathering, 30th June

Majority of Italian senate support Iranian Grand Gathering , 30th June

Statement by the majority of the Italian Senate representatives to support the uprising of the Iranian people and the great gathering of Iranians on June 30, 2018.
The statement has been signed by a majority of the representatives, among the signatories, the names of 11 members of the Board of directors of the Senate include a Senate Deputy Speaker, 2 Moderators, and 8 Senate secretary.
Iran appeal – Great Iranian rally, June 30th
For almost four decades the theocratic dictatorship in Iran systematically violates Human Rights and has been repeatedly condemned for this. Over 120,000 people, including dissidents and activists for democracy and human rights, were hanged and in some cases, their family members were subjected to arbitrary arrests, atrocious torture, and hangings. In the summer of ’88, the Iranian regime, in just two months, slaughtered 30,000 political prisoners, because they were dissidents and for the support of the opposition movement of the people’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI). Amnesty International has mentioned this “crime against humanity” that the perpetrators must be brought to justice. According to the UN report, Iran is in first place for the number of hangings related to its population.
Despite the harsh and violent oppression of the regime in Iran, the world witnessed, in December and January, the wave of the uprising that in a few days has spread to more than 140 cities in the country. The most repeated slogans in the demonstrations were “Reformists, Extremists, the game is over!”, “Death to Khamenei and Rouhani!”, “Neither Gaza nor Lebanon, I sacrifice myself for Iran!” And “Forget about Syria, think of us!” That expressed the real demands of the Iranian population for the change of regime and the arrest of its terrorist and warmongering expansionism.
We express solidarity and support to the demands of the Iranian people, launched in recent popular demonstrations. Khamenei, the spiritual leader of the regime on January 9th declared that: “Organizers of the uprising in Iran were the PMOI. We have precise information that they [the PMOI] had planned, prepared and organized for months. “Many other regime authorities have affirmed and admitted the key role of the PMOI and their supporters in Iran in organizing the uprisings and its continuity in many cities of the country.
The political condition in Iran has changed; the Iranian people has raised to change the regime and to establish freedom and peace in Iran and stability in the Middle East. We call on European governments and the international community to change their appeasement policy. Every relationship with the Iranian regime must be conditioned to stop of torture and execution, the launching of ballistic missiles and the export of terrorism and the belligerent provocations in the region.
We also support the great gathering of the Iranians in Paris, on June 30, in support of the demands of the uprising of the people who took to the streets in Iran. We are appealing the Italian Government and the international community to stand on the side of the people of Iran and to recognize the National Council Resistance of Iran (NCRI) as the real alternative to the regime in power in Iran. We also support the 10-point by Ms. Maryam Rajavi, the president elected of the NCRI, for a Republican and democratic Iran based on the separation of religion and government, gender equality, respecting rights of ethnic groups and all religions, non-nuclear Iran, abolition of death penalty, peaceful coexistence with neighboring countries, with respect to international laws and conventions for the guarantee of democracy, progress and prosperity of Iran.
The time has come for the international community stand on the right side of history.

’s Religious Leaders Condemn Iran’s Human Rights Abuses

Religious leaders from across the UK including in England, Wales and Scotland call to hold Iran accountable for human rights abuses

Over 50 bishops in the UK joined the Rt Rev. and Rt. Hon. Dr. Rowan Williams to condemn the human rights abuses, particularly the plight of religious minorities in Iran.
“Today, we announce the initiative by Dr Rowan Williams and supported by more than 50 bishops in UK along with 78 US church leaders which highlights the plight of the Iranian people and the religious minorities in Iran, particularly the Christians, calling on the international community to act to defend their rights in face of government harassment and persecution”, the Rt Rev. John Pritchard, former Bishop of Oxford, one of the signatories, said.
The statement states “The regime has been condemned no less than 64 times by various United Nations bodies and criticised by international human rights organisations for its appalling human rights record. While the majority of the victims of the regime’s abuses are Shiite Muslims, members of religious minorities, including Christians, Jews, members of the Sunni branch of Islam, and people of other faiths, have been targeted over their personal religious beliefs.”
It further highlights the Iranian regime’s misuse of the religion of Islam to impose a theocracy on millions of Iranians and takes note of the Iranian people’s demand for genuine change in their country demonstrated by a nationwide uprising that has being going on since December last year.
The statement by Dr. Rowan Williams supported by bishops in England, Wales and Scotland including the Archbishop of Wales, the Most Reverend John Davies, the former Archbishop of Wales, the Rt Rev. Ric Thorpe urges the international community to pay attention to call for freedom and human rights in Iran that will be echoed in the major international gathering scheduled to take place in Paris on June 30.
The statement says: “This demand will be manifested again at the international ‘Free Iran’ grand gathering that will be held on June 30, in Paris to promote freedom and human rights in Iran with the presence of religious, political, and social dignitaries from all over the world.”
The Rt Rev. John Pritchard, added, “In our statement, we call on all countries to take into consideration the deplorable situation of human rights in Iran, particularly the painful situation of religious minorities, in navigating their relations with Iran. We urge them to base any improvement of relations with Iran on a cessation of oppression of minorities and on a halt to executions in Iran.”

NO TO DEATH PENALTY IN IRAN

No to death penalty in Iran

Why does the world remain silent when Iranian political prisoners are tormented to death or hanged?
Why is the world silent when juveniles are executed in Iran?
Why is this barbaric tyranny not pressured to publish at least a complete list of names of those it executes?
Today, a large number of our defenseless countrymen are secretly executed in prisons across the country. Several thousands more are on the death row.
We think of their parents, and of their wives and children who spend nights and days under stress.
We think of the women who sell their kidneys to pay for their husbands’ blood money and save them from being executed.
Rouhani has clearly pronounced that these executions “are either based on Divine Law or on some legislation adopted by the parliament… and we only carry them out.”
Despite their differences, the ruling mullahs have a common viewpoint on executions and repression. They benefit from executions to preserve their regime.
Since three decades ago, tens of thousands of people have been executed only because of their opposition to the regime. They were accused of various unjustifiable and invalid charges without any due process of the law.
Based on the clerical regime’s penal code, anyone who is a member or supporter of the PMOI or in any way affiliated to it is considered a mohareb (someone who has waged war on God) and the punishment for a mohareb is death. The number of those who have been executed for their dissent is by no means small, and countless young people have been executed for protesting the nationwide oppression.
Islam or in the international law do not consider fighting for regime change to be a crime; it is the fundamental and inalienable right of any nation to overturn oppression and injustice.
Others are executed on drug charges. The mullahs hang a considerable number of Iran’s youths on this charge. But those executions violate the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Just
The mullahs’ sole objective is to terrorize the society and stifle social protests.
They have turned homicide into a common, daily routine.
The public hanging of convicts in front of their families, and even their children, crushes their hearts, minds and conscience.
Executions, torture, stoning, amputations of limbs, and eye gouging have been institutionalized and turned into law in this regime.
Yes, the existence and rule of this regime depend on executions because if there are no more executions, there would be nothing to prevent the eruption of public fury and seething social uprisings by the people.
Without executions, how and by what means could the mullahs deny people their freedoms and instead step up suppression, intimidation and all sorts of restrictions into the most private angles of people’s lives?
Without executions, how else could the mullahs increase the prices several folds every day, squander the public’s wealth and revenues in regional wars and plunder them in a life of luxury?

Our plan is an Iran without the death penalty

Our plan for future is an Iran without the death penalty and devoid of torture. Our plan is putting an end to torture and all forms of human rights abuse in Iran.
The Iranian Resistance declared years ago that it calls for abolition of death penalty and an end to torture and all forms of rights abuses in Iran.
Our plan is to revive friendship, conciliation and tolerance.
Our plan for future is to put an end to the mullahs’ religious decrees. We reject the inhuman penal code and other abusive laws of this regime. We believe Retribution is an inhuman law.
We advocate laws that are based on forgiveness, compassion and humanity.
The Iranian Resistance Leader Massoud Rajavi ordered the release of thousands of Khomeini’s agents arrested in the battles of the National Liberation Army of Iran --many of whom had committed murder against the PMOI-- without the slightest violation of their human rights.
Yes, this is an enduring tradition of the Iranian people’s resistance.
Our plan is to institute an independent, dynamic and free judiciary.
Our plan is to defend democratic values, freedom, equality and sanctity of every citizen’s private life.
No one will be arrested arbitrarily; torture is banned; no defendant is deprived of the right to defense and having a defense attorney; the principle of presumption of innocence is respected and no one, especially no woman, will be deprived of having access to justice when subjected to violence, aggression and abuse of her freedoms.
Our plan for Iran’s future is that no one should be denied his/her freedoms, rights or life because of having or not having faith in a particular religion or for abandoning it.
Our plan is for all citizens to enjoy genuine security and equal rights before the law.
Yes, we are seeking a new order based on freedom, democracy and equality.
We have chosen to persevere and fight on to let our people enjoy a life in freedom and prosperity, so that no youngster under 18 years of age would have to wait in the corridors of death in prison to reach legal age for execution; so that no mother would ever shed tears of grief for her executed child.
Our motivation for resistance till victory is not spite and revenge but our love for freedom and human rights. This is fuel sour steadfastness. And the secret to this endurance is nothing but being prepared to sacrifice and pay the price.

140 Belgian Parliamentarians Support Iran Protests For A Democratic Change

    democratic change

140 Belgian parliamentarians support Iran Protests for a democratic change

140 Belgian Parliamentarians  has issued a solidarity  statement expressing their support Iranian People’s Demands for Democratic Change and the Iranian Diaspora’s annual Paris convention, organized on June 30th.
I am happy to announce the joint statement by 140 parliamentarians in Belgium in support of the current protests, strikes and uprising for a democratic change in Iran. The signatories are from major political parties from the Federal parliament, regional parliaments, European Parliament and the senate.
The uprising which began on 28 December and continued for several weeks, shook Iran. The nationwide protests covered all 31 provinces of Iran and 142 cities.
The parliamentarians stated: “The people of Iran, especially the younger generation, have made it clear that they are fed up with Islamic fundamentalist rule and want a regime change. Many chanted ‘down with the dictator,’ ‘down with Khamenei’ and ‘down with Rouhani.’ Women played an active role in the protests.
Many protesters have already died in custody under torture. The top leaders of the regime have confessed to the role of the main opposition, PMOI (MEK) in leading the protests.
In May, anti-government protests in city of Kazerun were brutally repressed by the regime, leaving at least 4 dead and hundreds wounded, with many arrests.
In recent weeks Truck drivers have been on an unprecedented nationwide strike all over Iran.
Last week the regime raided the homes of Steel workers in city of Ahvaz who have been protesting for unpaid wages. Workers and teachers’ protests have been going on in many Iranian cities in recent weeks.

    democratic change

    issued an statement as follow:

Support Iranian People’s Demands for Democratic Change
    June 2018
We condemn the use of force against the defenceless protesters and call on the EU and European governments to adopt effective measures and binding decisions to compel the regime to release the prisoners of the uprising, uphold freedom of expression and association, end repression against women and especially annul the compulsory ‘Hijab’ for women,” Belgian lawmakers stated.
The nationwide protests and strikes is a sign of lack of basic freedoms and violations of human rights. The people of Iran expect Europe to be on their side and not just focus on trade and business with Iran.  As elected politicians of the people of Belgium, we believe the Iranian people’s calls for democracy should be taken seriously.
Human rights and women’s rights in Iran cannot be compromised or marginalized on the pretext of political considerations, trade or the nuclear deal. Any expansion of political and economic relations with Iran must be conditional upon a clear progress on human rights, women’s rights and a halt to executions,” the parliamentarians demanded.
Dirk Claes, Mayor of Rotselaar, President of Belgian Committee of Parliamentarians and Mayors for a Democratic Iran
We are deeply concerned about the suppression of the nationwide uprisings in Iran at the beginning of this year. The backlash by the “Islamic Republic” has been violent. Dozens were killed on the streets and at least 14 have died under torture. Amnesty International has called for an investigation into the deaths in custody. The head of Iran’s prisons organization confirmed the arrest of 5,000 protesters.
The human rights situation has deteriorated in the wake of the recent protests. Iran continues to carry out the highest number of executions per capita globally. According to Amnesty International Global Report, more than half of all recorded executions in 2017 were carried out in Iran.
The people of Iran, especially the younger generation, have made it clear that they are fed up with Islamic fundamentalist rule and want democratic change. Many chanted “down with the dictator,” “down with Khamenei” and “down with Rouhani.” Women played an active role in the protests.
According to the French news agency on 2 January, Iranian President Rouhani called President Macron and asked him to take action against the Paris-based Iranian opposition, which he accused of fomenting the recent protests. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader, also said that the PMOI had organized the uprising, and implicitly threatened to execute the protesters. A judiciary official has publicly called for the execution of demonstrators for ‘waging war against God.’
We condemn the use of force against the defenceless protesters and call on Belgium and EU governments to adopt effective measures and binding decisions to compel the regime to release the prisoners of the uprising, uphold freedom of expression and association, end repression against women and especially annul the compulsory ‘Hijab’ for women.
We call on the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights to set up a fact-finding mission to investigate the situation of Iran’s prisons and political prisoners, especially those arrested during the uprising and those who died in detention.
Human rights and women’s rights in Iran cannot be compromised or marginalized on the pretext of political considerations, trade or the nuclear deal. Any expansion of political and economic relations with Iran must be conditional upon a clear progress on human rights, women’s rights and a halt to executions.

MEPs Voicing Solidarity With The Iranian Opposition Convention

    Iranian opposition convention

MEPs voicing solidarity with the Iranian opposition convention
Number of European Parliament Members are expressing their solidarity and support for the Iranian opposition’s upcoming convention in Paris scheduled for June 30th.
Mark Demesmaeker  is a member of European Parliament from Belgium
He was elected as a member of the Flemish Parliament in 2004 and reelected in 2009.In 2013, Demesmaeker left the Flemish Parliament to replace Frieda Brepoels (who became mayor of Bilzen) as member of the European Parliament. He was directly elected in 2014 to keep this position.
In 2006, he was elected to the City Council of Halle and became alderman. In 2012, he was reelected with the most preference votes, but a coalition was formed without his party.
On June the 30th a great rally will be held in Paris in support of Iranian people’s protest movement for freedom and democracy.
     Iranian opposition convention
We in the European Parliament have been following your struggle for many years and from all indications we can tell that the change has never been so close. The international pressure on the regime has never been so high. They must get this message that they must stop their oppression at home and their interferences and support of terrorism in the region, or there will be more sanctions against their repressive forces. Nearly four decades after 1979 revolution that was hijacked by Ayatollah Khomeini and the Islamic fundamentalists, people of Iran have now clearly demonstrated that they have had enough of this religious dictatorship. They want change and for that to happen we need to rally behind Iranian opposition movement led by Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, who has been leading this struggle for many years. She has called for a free Iran where religion is separated from the state, men and women would be equal, ethnic and religious minorities would be respected, and death penalty will be abolished. So I urge all freedom loving people to join the Great Gathering on June the 30th.
Franc Bogovič, Member of the European Parliament from Slovenia
     Iranian opposition convention
As a member of the European Parliament from Slovenia, I’m very happy that we, Slovenians are part of the European Union. I’m happy because European Union is based on values, and this values are Democracy, freedom of people, freedom of speech, and rule of law. And I want that also the gathering of Iran opposition, together with Ms. Rajavi will be successful, and I support denuclearization of Iran. In European Parliament we spoke about the agreement between European Union and Iran about denuclearization. And I support the denuclearization of Iran because we want that there is no nuclear weapon in Iran but on another side we support people, and I hope that denuclearization of Iran will be successful. And so good luck to Ms. Rajavi and also to gathering in Paris.

Iranian opposition convention will hold in 30th of June

Iranian opposition convention in Paris, is being welcomed by MEPs

    Iranian opposition convention

This year’s Iranian opposition convention in Paris, scheduled for June 30th, is being welcomed by more lawmakers, Members of the European Parliament and French Mayors.
MEPs from Croatia, Estonia, Finland and the United Kingdom sent a separate message supporting the Iranian people’s uprising and their call for democracy and human rights, in addition to announcing their intention to participate in the Free Iran rally.
Judith Kirton-Darling  a British Member of the European Parliament for the North East England region for the Labour Party. She was elected in 2014.
I’d like to join my colleagues in the European Parliament to express my best wishes for the Paris rally on the thirtieth of June for free Iran.
I believe the European Union and our governments must put human rights as their priority in dealing with Iran, Human Rights in Iran continued to deteriorate with peaceful protesters facing intimidation, violence, detention and torture. in a nationwide protest in December in January people protested against high cost of living poverty repression and the lack of freedom and democracy, these protests have continued and the right to free speech and peaceful protests of vital human rights, that the regime blame these protests on the P.M.O. I, shows how concerned the regime about the opposition movement under the leadership of Miss Maryam Rajavi.
women have played an active role in these protests and I really admire their courage as stand today in solidarity with my Iranian sisters and send solidarity to all of you thank you.
Anders Primdahl Vistisen, a Danish politician and Member of the European Parliament (MEP) from Denmark. He is a member of the Danish People’s Party, part of the European Conservatives and Reformists.
    Iranian opposition convention
I’m Anders Vistisen and I’m the first Vice Chair of the European Union’s foreign affairs committee. I’m here to talk to you about the situation in Iran. Iran have for many years successfully been able to spread terrorism, extremism, fundamentalism and instability in the region. And they have also been holding their own population in a stronghold, where they have deprived them of central human rights and everyday life, the Iranian citizens is a living hell. Therefore we have seen a courageous uprising from Iranian citizens in the last year and the beginning of this year. These protests I support full heartedly and I hope that they will succeed and therefore I also sent my best regards to the Iranian opposition when they meet in Paris on the 30th of June, to have really a congress for free Iran.

Annual Iranian Resistance Gathering in Paris

In an interview with the Lars Larson radio station on the topic of the Iranian People’s uprising, Ali Reza Jafarzadeh, a representative of the National Council Resistance of Iran in Washington, said that demonstrations and protest movements, which have now grown nation-wide, date back to December 2017 which has continued so far.
Anti-government demonstrations actually erupted to protest against economic conditions, high prices and rampant corruption, but quickly turned into anti-government demonstration. People chanted “death to Khamenei” and “death to Rouhani”. They rejected the whole religious ruling system and demanded freedom.
He added that after the uprising of the Iranian people, there was a large demonstrations in the city of Kazerun where tens of thousands of people participated and entered into confrontations with the IRGC forces and did not retreat.
Recently, a young woman emerged in a main square in the city of Karaj, one of Iran’s major cities near Tehran, and chanted “Death to Khamenei.” She repeated this slogan and people gathered around her. She chose this courageous way of expressing herself to tell other women and men in Iran that this slogan is the true slogan of the Iranian people against the regime.
Jafarzadeh said that since people know their true enemies, there is great motivation and hope for change in Iran. What is seen today in the Iranian scene was not seen in the past.
Jafarzadeh added that an organized opposition has been presented against the Iranian regime over the past fourteen years, which is a mighty opposition based in Paris, with a well-known leadership and clear programs led by a woman, Mrs. Maryam Rajavi. She has offered a 10-point plan for the future of Iran, saying that the only criterion for the legitimacy is what came out of the ballot box and not religious dictatorship.
She believes in the separation of religion from the state, the freedom of the media, the freedom of parties, the free economy and the support of peace in the Middle East, and says that we demand a non-nuclear Iran. This program is supported not only by the Iranian people, but by all the countries of the region and the United States, and there is a widespread bipartisan support in the House of Representatives and the Senate of the United States.
“The Iranian resistance is the voice of the Iranian people and their uprising to overthrow the theocratic regime,” said the deputy of the National Council of the Iranian Resistance in Washington. “The Free Iran 2018, which represents all these voices, will be held in Paris on 30 June with the participation of well-known speakers to show the continuation of relations between the uprisings Inside Iran and the voices outside Iran.” He concluded all the governments should stand alongside the Iranian people.
